D'Lynn Joy Deines Gschwend
Many of you have already heard that my wife, D’Lynn, passed away on July 15th, 2008.
D’Lynn was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in May, 2006. Through much prayer we chose to follow alternative and complimentary health approaches. Instead of 3 weeks to 6 months, D’Lynn was with us for about 26 months and we praise God for his provision. We asked God for healing, praying fervently that He would provide physical healing. Instead, in His wisdom, He chose to heal her through physical death. D’Lynn is now completely healed and no longer in pain. Many of you may not know that D’Lynn was challenged with physical pain for most of her life, and she longed for relief and rest. God has answered her prayers!
There were so many blessings over the past 26 months and we were grateful for every moment. Every morning I praised God that we had another day together. To the end she remained strong, continuing to be concerned with others. No surprise there! Just the Friday before she passed away she wanted to sit up on the edge of the bed. She had not sat up for about 2 months. She did it, not only once, but 3 times, getting stronger each time. She sat up again twice on Saturday.
She always said that she did not want to go one second early, but that she definitely did not want to be here one second longer than necessary. When it was time to go, she was at peace and ready to go. Her time was July 15th, 2008 at 10:55 pm. God is always on time!
She touched and continues to touch so many lives. She chose life! As I went around informing people, word spread much faster than I could travel and often people would already have heard.
D’Lynn would want me to express our sincere thanks to all of you for your friendship, and let you know that you contributed to her life in ways you could never know. She wants this occasion to be a celebration because she fought the good fight and is now able to find rest and be free from pain!
